Error in LesHouches.in.MSSM.low

Post by Astro » 4. Feb 2017, 22:43

Dear Florian,

I got an error when running LesHouches.in.MSSM.low , it says:

Code: Select all

Warning from routine OneLoopHpm
in the calculation of the masses occurred a negative mass squared!
 generation: 1
 mass: -1435721.1623972999
Mass spectrum converged, but negative mass squared present.
STOP Subroutine TerminateProgram

I know this error comes from Block SPhenoInput , specifically from line:

Code: Select all

 55 0 # Calculate one loop masses
when I close this option , the error disappear. The question why Spheno do that ? I mean what if i'd like to calculate the one loop masses and open this option, why Spheno get negative masses ?

I kept the default setting of LesHouches.in.MSSM.low file as generated by SARAH and just added the masses .

Thanks,

That just means that the loop corrections for your parameter point lead to negative mass squareds. So, you should choose another point.

Cheers
Florian
