More points in some ranges

Hi,

If I want to have more points in some ranges, what should I do?

For example:
In a linear scan from x=1..100 with steps=100, I want to have more points in the ranges x=30..40 and x=90..95 with steps=1000.

the only option I see is to split the scan into pieces.
