Loop factor in LaTeX-output of self energies

Post by Martin » 17. Apr 2018, 04:39

Dear Florian,

I hope nobody asked this question before but I could not find anything about it. So I apologise if this is already clarified somewhere else.

I have the strong feeling that the notation used in the LaTeX output and your documentation is not quite consistent, i.e. there is a loop factor 1/(16 pi^2) missing. If I look at the self energies as given by the LaTeX output there is no such factor. That can be easily seen from the SSSS pieces which according to your conventions is basically just the vertex x A0(m^2) and A0 does not contain a loop factor. Then I was wondering, if there is a 16 pi^2 hidden somewhere else but in your documentation, e.g. arXiv:1002.0840, Appendix D.2.3, you don't mention such a factor in the definition of the loop corrected masses. In the BPMZ paper (hep-ph/9606211) they include such a factor, see Appendix D of that paper.

Thanks a lot,
Martin

Yes, the expressions are written without the loop factor. Maybe, you are correct and it would be better to write the 1/16pi^2 explicitly.

Cheers,
Florian
