Renormalisation Scale in Spheno

Post by samyahaghi » 28. Jul 2018, 20:49

Hi,

For many SM like models, Spheno shows Renormalisation Scale=160GeV.

May I ask how this scale 160GeV is achieved?
Is it just a fixed guess or dynamical?

Regards,
Sam

Hi,

that's roughly the running value of the top mass. The reason for this choice is to minimize then uncertainty in the Higgs mass. It can be changed either via the SPheno.m when generating the Fortran code, or later via MODEL[12] in the LH input file.

Cheers,
Florian
