Problem with SSP and SPheno (toolbox)

Post by Jordan » 10. May 2016, 11:39

Hi Florian,

It's me again.

I have a problem with the file LesHouches.in.MSSM created with SSP. When i start SSP scans i get "no valid parameters found". So i tried to run SPheno on the LesHouches.in.MSSM created by SSP and i get negative squared masses. I found something : In the block "BLOCK SPhenoInput", the # after the value of entries "1". When i remove it, SPheno is running quite well.
I don't know if it's a bug or one of my mistakes.

I put the files in attachment.

Thanks for your time,
Jordan

Hi,

the problem is not that # but that you turn on SPA conventions via flag 2->1. That sets the renormalisation to 1 TeV by default. If you put it to 0, the scale is calculated as average of the stop masses (for your points that's ~800 GeV), and this seems to make the difference. When you remove the # SPheno doesn't read the following line where flag 2 is defined and uses the default value which is 0.

Cheers,
Florian

Hi,

Ok this works ! Thanks a lot.

If i may ask just one more question : Do you know where i can find a catalog with all possibles input commands ? That should help me to avoid some mistakes.

Cheers,
Jordan

You mean something like Appendix B of 1503.04200?
